I activated my account as soon as I got the blue letter in the mail. It still works for me; I just logged on.

Woohoo! Everyone who's having trouble -- there's hope. Mine finalllly worked.

I've changed my password twice, and it still won't work...

howwww? what did you do lindsey?

mines not working. it doesnt recognize my new password that i set up when i first got the letter. should i try the pin number they gave me again?¿

I just kept trying and trying and trying and trying and trying. Eventually it will work.

haha it's so cute how much you all flip about this. nothing's going to happen for another 8 days ;)

yeah lindsey's method worked. just keep trying trying trying

yay for workingness

can someone please tell me where do I get my pin??? this is so worrying....cos I didn't receive the so-called postcard I was supposed to get...so now I'm like so lost....did the PIN come with the postcard???

The PIN came on a letter printed on blue paper. The postcard had nothing to do with it. Does that help?

I didn't receive the blue letter...cos as I heard from others, they said that people who applied by paper would receive the letter, while those who applied online would receive an email. Well, I got the email, but there was no PIN number given.
linseylujh, can i just ask, what did the letter say besides giving you the PIN number?is it something about them receiving your application?thanks alot...

Those who applied by paper get both an email and a letter. Those who applied online only got the letter.

The letter says:
Your application for admission to Yale has been received and your admissions file is now open. We will notify you if any necessary documents are missing.

Then, it gives you an admissions code to write on any future admissions correspondence.

Next, it talks about Local Alumni Interviews and basically just gives the typical speech. It gives you the name of your local ASC director, but tells you not to contact them.

Finally, it talks about Online Decision Notification. It says we'll find out Dec. 16 and it gives the address for activating, a PIN, and an account ID.

lindsey....thanks alot...now I feel really panicky, what could have possibly gone wrong??! Could it be the postman??Argh! Going crazy now...anyway, thanks...

No problem It might not hurt to give Yale a call tomorrow. You can find the number on their website.
