webster hall?

what is webster hall like?

i am living there and know nothing about it. I am a freshmen and will be living with an upperclassmen.

does anyone have tips or insight

They're nice apartments, but fairly far from campus. There are even dishwashers in the kitchens.

Living in an apartment freshman year has advantages and disadvatages (I know because I lived in one myself last year)
Living somewhere like Webster is nice because you have more room and your own place to cook. However, it can also suck because its harder to meet people as if you were in a college dorm. Just try to make as many friends you can during orientation week!

The commute can be a hassle if you have early classes.

i'm also gonna be a freshman dormin at webster hall..it wasnt in my top 3 choice but it beats the hell out of a hotel.. and the commute doesnt seem to be too bad ..from the map it looks like a 10-15 min walk to most parts of campus

Keep in mind that you have to cross Fifth Avenue and Forbes Avenue, both major roads. It's easy to jaywalk Forbes at the Morewood intersection if you know how, but I think the Fifth and Craig intersection is tougher because it's not a T-junction.

I would set aside more time than 10 or 15 minutes to get from Webster to campus. It took me almost 10 minutes to walk from Morewood E Tower to Baker Hall last year, and E Tower is about as close to the academic buildings as dorms get (except West Wing and Resnik).
