beam of light = human perception

yups. does it look liek there's an answer that most have chosen on the ancient greeks and robot question yet?

nope, not yet.

just reading this thread increases my heart rate.

Spanish Passage

Lines 1-14 suggest the passage gave the author a sense of - security

In lines 17-22 the author characterizes spanish as a - guardian

Which statement about author's parents can be inferred from the passage- they wanted the author to adopt the language of their country of origin

In what ways does author think he was unfair to spanish- not giving credit to his parents from moving from eastern europe

cross, i got the same thing as you for the first two, but i am pretty sure that the last two arent right.

Are these going to be the same answers for kids if they take the test on Saturday?? Kind of cheating in a way if it is... free national merit semifinalist...

no....collegeboard is not stupid enough to administer the same test twice.....it will be a totally different test on saturday.

"Which statement about author's parents can be inferred from the passage- they wanted the author to adopt the language of their country of origin"

--- I think it was that they wanted the child to learn the language of the country they moved to, (spanish), it was something like that, but that wasnt the answer, because the parents didnt try teaching the child a european language, because he grew up in spanish.

"In what ways does author think he was unfair to spanish- not giving credit to his parents from moving from eastern europe"

I think it was because he only offered one point of view on how spanish spread, or something like that.

"Which statement about author's parents can be inferred from the passage"
I'm pretty sure the answer to this was something about how the parents also had to learn spanish as another language (or something like that?, was that even a choice?).

"In what ways does author think he was unfair to spanish"

I agree with guguru on this one.

Did the "possible value of x for negative" one say that "x" was an integer?

no i dont think so

“Indonesia jewels” – wrong, suspending should be suspended

wat does this mean? btw check out my post for answers to the biography vs letters passage

.....i dont really know what you are confused about, did you take the wednesday test? if so, there was a writing question about jewels and Indonesia.....and the error was "suspending", if it was a correct sentence it would have been "suspended".

What about that civil rights sentence correction one? That one where it was like "although some gains made by civil rights leaders were superficial, others were steps toward blahblahblah..."?!

i am pretty sure that one was no error.
