Is that a southern tradition? Im from the south and I think I heard of that…

People on here usually think I’m a guy because I like computer science/engineering/math, but I’m not(:

Boymom- good luck to your D!!
I’m applying to half of them early so I’ll know by this December (: all of my favs have EA (MIT, NEU, Rutgers, UMass)

boymom5, I’m going to Reed this Fall!!

Also, thank you for apologizing :)

Ya know, I would have expected a little more maturity and circumspection from a parent of 5 children.

And Wellesley has EE which is sort of like EA but not really

Lawl, I assumed you were a guy the first time I saw your name.

You mean are shotgun weddings a southern tradition? Not really… Shotgun weddings are not a tradition at all. Its just a common term.

Science and math are not just a boys’ club anymore. :)

Oh I see

And nope, it’s not (: is that what you like too?

Lulz, I should hope no one upholds a tradition of teenage pregnancy lol.

^sadly, my family kind of does…

And yeah, I’m really big on science. Going pre-med. Family’s first doctor!! My dad is an engineer/pilot/marine, so science is kind of big in my family.

I didn’t know it was teenage pregnancy? (if that’s what you wrote then I apologize, I’m mobile :P)

I asked my mom if she heard of a shotgun wedding and she said she had one (my sisters dad). She made it seem like a southern thing (we’re from AL/GA but live up north)

That’s cool, I used to want to be a neurosurgeon… But I get queasy when I see blood…
I’ll be the first anything in my family, besides my mom (she’s a nurse)

Way too many girls like Biology/Chemistry. I find it irritating.

Why is that irritating?

Because I’m a Math/Computers guy and there aren’t enough Math/Computers girls.

^^^^
I’m one :)

…Well… Good luck with that…

The math classes I had today are 7% and 10% female. Gentlemen’s clubs have more women in them than that…

Jason- USED to be.

I did say I’m into computer science/engineering/math hence my name

Sorry, it’s late here lol.

Lawl, yes. Unfortunately, you’re only one. :/

Exceedingly well put.
