On section 3 Critical Reading, Arabella passage, what was author 2's view of author 1's characterization of Arabella's grandma? Too simple, historically accurate, humorous...?

I was wondering about this question too, I put historically accurate but that's definitely wrong. Others think it's humorous, which is probably right, the grandma was described as a dragon and crotchety.

i put to simple i think, like she wasn't going in depth like author 2 did

I put it was humor..i think that's what I put.. because it said "dragon of a grandomother and crotchety" so i thought it was humourous.. lol

What did you guys get for like the relation between two passages for the Arabella passage and ther ewas another one..but i forget which one.. i think the two short paragraphs.

I put humorous because I actually chuckled softly when I read "dragon of a grandmother..." :D

Akvareli--were the 2 short paragraphs about shopping? I can't remember the actual answer for the relation (but it was like the first saw shopping as a burdensome experience while the other saw it as enjoyable and a way to discover your identity)

^ okay. yeah i know there were two passages that asked that. I think the other two passages also had a relationship question. I always get confused on those. I think I probably missed one of those. lol

Was the fairytale passage 2 comparing viewpoints or just one paragraph by one author?

^ There was another 2 passage thing with relationship.. ohh ohh. i think it was the animal sounds or something?? It was either that..or wasn't there a passage about books..audio books = bad or not? i forgot

The animal sounds was one loooooooong passage. I hated it. The audio books passage is familiar but definitely wasn't on PSAT, I think it was on the October SAT..did you take that too? If not it was in the Collegeboard Official Guide practice tests haha

^ haha. ohh.yeah. I think it was one of the practice tests.I have taken too many that I get mixed up, oh but I swear there was a passage on the PSAT that sounded SO SO familiar to something I have read before. haha
No , I'm taking the SAT in Nov. =/

I put "humorous" because of the dragon description. It probably wasn't a good question because most people would miss it-- it wasn't funny at all.

^ wait, I'm confused, so are you saying humorous is wrong?

I think I put overly simplistic. :S

No, humorous should be right. I was just elaborating that most students wouldn't find describing the grandmother as a dragon funny (as in they'd laugh at it), so it is kind of a subjective question. Maybe an English teacher would, idk. But I do not know the answer for sure, either.

Oh, okay.
yeah I see what you mean. In context of Passage one , the dragon and crotechety wasn't meant to be funny, but Author two would view it funny because it came from Arabella's point of view.

It wasn't very humorous to me. -sigh-

Stupid ambiguous CR questions.

^ Yeah, that was kind of hard. I was stuck between simplistic and humorous..but then i was like dragon and crotchety.. hmm.. well since Arabella was pretty stupid, I think it'd be funny if she said that about her grandma who in reality was NOT like that. You know what i mean?

What were the other choices with the shopping one? I remember being stuck between "burdensome experience and discovery of new identity" and something else.

yeah I think the one you quoted was right.
