Which of the following would best follow sentence 11?
A. The corporate world is vicious, and, as in the jungle, only the fittest survive.
B. Female Presidents of companies usually have a lot of influence
C. Women are just as capable as men, even if there are still some doubts in the corporate world.
D. Remaining in an inhospitable environment is risky but may help other women in the company
E. Most people agree that women are just as capable as men

The answer is C because D is a very poor way of concluding an essay. The final sentence should summarize the main idea of the passage, which C does perfectly.

I think C was the trick answer because the essays focus was not that women were just as capable as men but instead that women are being discriminated in the workplace. So basically C was just an assumption that sounded right and was used to trick people.

The point made by D (helping other women in the company) was only discussed in sentence 11, and nowhere else in the passage. And as I stated previously, C provides the much better conclusion. If you read some strong essays, you'll get the feeling of how to end an essay; it's not something I can describe easily here.

the reason the answer is D is because that paragraph was not the conclusion. the passage was talking about the different methods that women employ to avoid discrimination like starting their own companies. the paragraph then talked about how some women chose to stay in the the company to solve the problem within even though they face opposition. so D makes sense since it is saying that D. Remaining in an inhospitable environment is risky but may help other women in the company

Wait. You won't get anything for this question... your answer is already submitted. Just let time go... even if you get it wrong or right just dont worry..
