Good Morning,
I am new to this site so i hope this question was not asked already. However, i was recently accepted for a summer internship at UBS- Wealth Managment. Is anyone familiar with Weehawken NJ?Because i cannot figure out a train schedule( weird light rail schedule) and not sure if there is any other way to get to my 9-5 except for driving ( i live in New Brunswick NJ).

Thank you very much in advance for any advise/information.

Here’s an easy way to get to Weehawken, but maybe not right to your job site (and maybe not so cheap, either).

Take the NJ Rail line into New York (Penn Station), then get on the 34th street bus (a free one) that goes to the NY-NJ Ferry line that goes across the Hudson. The ferry station on the New Jersey side is right in Weehawken, although it is at the base of the cliffs. I don’t know if your job is down the main road or up on top of the cliffs, but I believe there are buses that go to both places from right in front of where the ferry station is.

I suggest you call the NJ bus line information number and ask them about the bus lines once you are in Weehawken at the ferry building. Obviously, do this now so you know which bus you should get on during your first day of work.

P.S. The only bad thing about going this route is that it will cost you some money for the train, and then cost you money to go round trip across the Hudson on the ferry each day. I don’t know how much they are paying at your internship, but obviously this needs to be taken into account when considering using this route all summer.

Oh, and Penn Station is directly below Madison Square Garden, which is between 33rd and 34th street–so getting to the ferry bus from Penn Station requires a walk of less than half a block.

Best of success.
