mines tyler!! im just wearing kakis and a polo. yah my flight is at 550 and i think i get in at 1030 or so out there which is an hour ahead of my time in Nebraska

Yeah, I'm wearing khakis and a polo too. I thought about wearing gym sports since we're supposedly playing sports, but then someone said we get issued our PT clothes and go get changed.

I'm hoping there's some volleyball. :D

volleyballs fun we always have big family games since most of my girl cousins play college and highschool volleyball
hopefully football i think im gunna get some sleep hopefully see you tomrow

to answer one of your questions i jsut saw... im taking one bag and a backpack

Well, you're already on your way there. I'm leaving in 30 minutes. :p Good luck to everyone in Session 2!

For those of you who finished session 1, who were your cadre? A lot of my buddies are squad leaders on the detail.

Maybe you could give us your impression of my classmates...

I just got back from Girls State where I didnt have any oppotunity to work out and I am going to Session 3. Any suggestions as to what I should do this week to get ready as far as excercise goes???

I just got back from NASS session 1.
Plebe- I would recommend practicing for the CFA. Being able to do well on this will put you in good enough shape. Also, the physical trainers there recommended practicing for it as well.

arhead70-thanks! I am so excited! is it as amazing as everyone says it is?

arhead said it was a blast...loved it. He arrived today at AFA summer seminar. Will be home Friday.

I have posted photos from NASS I at the following link:

http://www.dropshots.com/GreatAmerican

Enjoy yourselves!

GA What FUN to see your dropshots! Glad you got it to work! How did you get such continued access to these candidates?? I recognized one of the great young men from my kiddos Company in some of the shots - doing some of the Cadre work and that was cool too!

It was REALLY interesting to see these kids go through some of the Sea Trial stations that we Plebes-no-more parents witnessed for 12+ hours just one month ago. I'd LOVE to hear the thoughts of those same now-Youngsters doing the NASS Detail as they watch others going through this stuff!!

My kiddo reports she LOVES her Squad and that the kids are all teriffic. GO NAVY!

^^^^^
My daughter's squad leader was gracious enough to act as the unofficial photographer for his squad during NASS I.

GA ... very cool pix! And loads of 'em! Fun to see. Thanks.

Loved the pictures but was not able to see any of my son who is a squad leader. Does any one else have any?

turningsignal -- who's your son? I'm on cadre and i'll try to get some shots of him during session 3 if you like

Thanks for the offer but he won't be doing 3rd session

anyone have chris wheeler as one of their cadre?

Just came back from session 2. I'm a bit tired but it's all worth it. I miss the place already. It's tons of fun and the physical stuff isn't too hard.

How were the academic workshops? Which ones did you guys like the most?

Some of the Academic Workshops were boring and in every class someone fell asleep. My favorites are martial arts and oceanography.
