Week of Welcome (WOW) schedule

is available at: [Student Affairs | Week of Welcome](<a href=“Weeks of Welcome - University Programs”>Weeks of Welcome - University Programs)

WOW indeed! It looks like they won’t lack for things to do that week. Fun!

I highly suggest that all students, particularly incoming students, attend many of these events. I especially recommend Student Night at Target and the OOS (and International) Student Social, though all events are excellent.

My D has NEVER missed an invitation to Target, and I’m sure this will apply to WOW especially since she won’t have a car :)

Wow, looks like fun. Is transportation provided for the students to the Target event?

Yes, the detailed schedule shows shuttles running from Riverside/Rose/Ridgecrest and Tutwiler/Burke/Colonial.

If it is like last year, these will be Target-chartered buses that run every 20 minutes or so throughout the event.

Love it! Target chartered buses! They know where their bread is buttered!

This is kind of joke, but maybe not. Are there any extended stay hotels near campus? It looks like I’m going to be earning enough Marriott points from Bama stays to take another nice vacation!

Student Night at Target (Week of Welcome | August 16, 2010)

Date: August 16, 2010
Location: Target-Tuscaloosa store located on Veterans Memorial Parkway
Information: Target will re-open Monday night just for students. Transportation will be provided to and from the store where students will receive giveaway bags, special coupons and product samples. A DJ will provide entertainment. Shuttle buses will pick up from the following locations: Riverside/Rose Towers Ridgecrest and Tutwiler/Burke/Colonial.

Does the Target in Tuscaloosa carry grocery items?

It is a Super Target, so it has the full food section.

I don’t know of there being any extended stay hotels in Tuscaloosa where you can earn Marriott points. There are other extended stay hotels in town, but not all have loyalty programs.
