I'd be coming to Chapman from new england, if I choose to attend.

I've heard that a good number of students are from California and live relatively nearby, and that the campus empties out a considerable amount on the weekends. How much truth is there to this?

How many students come from far away and are at the campus every weekend? Is there anything going on at campus on the weekends? If there is truth to what I've heard, I imagine there'd be a bit of separation between the native californians and those coming from further away, just because the same group of kids would be together on the weekends when everyone else leaves. Am I going to feel like the lone east coaster?

I really want a typical college experience where everyone loves being at campus and has fun at parties and such on the weekends. I'm worried Chapman may not be able to give me that :(.

That’s kinda funny.
I basically just made the same post as you on a different thread.

Im from DC. Im used to the nightlife as it is, and I want a true college experience.

But at the same time,
I love Chapman.

I’m from new england and I’d like to see an answer to these questions too

there is some discussion on this in other threads…

take some time to review them

I’ve tried, and I’ve seen the issue referenced but I can’t find a thread where it’s directly addressed. Is anyone able to give a straight-up evaluative answer?

Well I was there yesterday
and
everyone was out by the pool
the DJ set up a booth and played music all day long
and they barbqued- looked pretty fun
after there was a huge party that lasted till like 4
so yes
people are there on the weekend

I’m from new england and one of my friends goes to chapman. I asked her about the night life and she said that a lot of parties are now being broken up at 11ish by public safety. She says that there are either a lot of things to do or there is nothing to do.
