<p>Taking into account that you don’t completely bomb your 1st semester, it can only make/break you if you were already a borderline applicant. Such as, if you had an upward trend up to junior year and make all As during senior 1st semester, it would elevate your application and GPA. However, if you’ve been deferred at a school and did poorly your senior 1st semester, it may lead to a rejection.</p>
<p>However, if you had all As during high school and make a few Bs during senior 1st semester, I doubt it’ll harm you at all. </p>
<p>If you make a C, D, or F on the first semester, you’re in trouble.</p>
