Weighted and unweighted GPAs?

<p>This is a very stupid question but whats a weighted and unweighted GPA and how could you tell if its one or the other? On my transcript it just says semester GPA and cumulative GPA.</p>

<p>For college or high school? I don’t know of any colleges that have weighted and unweighted GPAs.</p>

<p>Perhaps they mean the GPA from classes from your major and GPA from the every class you’ve taken?</p>
