I am a little unfamiliar with the weighting process. How do they weight? Do they take all your grades, average them, and then add the points or do they take the grades, add the points, and then average?

Um... it's normally multiplying the points in, i think, not adding. And it's specific to the class, so it's before theyre averaged.

at my school, they take the grades, add the points, and then average. it really depends on what school you go to. the colleges will balance it all out based on their scale. if you take an AP/Honors class, your school might add half or one point to the score (so if 4.0 = A, an AP would be 5.0 = A, for example). this is how the weighing is done at my school, but if you want to be really sure of this, you should contact your counselor and ask him/her about the process.

At my school, the weight of ".03" is added to the total GPA for each AP class at the end of each semester
