Will ut austin look at the weighted gpa or unweighted gpa? Or both... or neither? Just the class rank?

…bumpppp

UT takes the GPA as stated on your transcript. GPA is not as important here as it is at other schools. Rank is more important assuming you meet the minimum criteria, GPA will be considered in holisitc review.

My weighted gpa is 4.1 and the rank is 130/900. My unweighted gpa is 3.5 and the rank is 250/900. Which rank will they consider?

I believe (but am not sure) that they take the weighted rank because on my UT ID account, it states my weighted rank.

Kobudnik: thanks :)

kobudnik what page are you referring to on your “UT ID account”

The UT Eid page. When you log in you scroll down and look at your application credentials and it show rank, scores, etc.

I think they only show the rank for in state students only.

I’m in CT and I have it.

I was wondering the same thing because my school does not give colleges unweighted gpa. On my transcript it gives my weighted gpa and my transcript, so will UT simply look at my really high weighted gpa and decide or look at my transcript and determine it from there?
