<p>Can someone explain how Miami weights GPAs? Although my daughter has taken several honors classes, her school does not weight GPAs, so I suspect her GPA would go up were she given some extra points for honors classes.</p>
<p>This is what Miami says regarding GPA's, based on the "Ask UM" feature on their website:</p>
<p>"Question: Do you recalcuate my high school GPA when you make the admission decision? Answer: No, the Admission Committee does not recalculate your high school GPA. We use the GPA (weighted and/or unweighted) provided by your high school."</p>
<p>I called the office about this, and that's the answer they gave me. They will just take the GPA listed on your transcript and use that one. (Which screws me, because I only get a .33 boost for AC/AP courses!)</p>
