How does your school score an 'AP' or 'Honors' class. My daughter's schools scores an 'AP' or 'Honors' class an additional '0.03'. Thus, an A = 4.03, B = 3.03 etc. I was just curious to know if 'AP' or 'Honors' classes are scored differently.

Our’s is changing next year. Currently, honors and AP classes are on a 5.0 scale. Next year honors will be 4.5 and AP 5.0

Our school awarded no extra points for honors or AP.

As a result, there were multiple valedictorians.

honors = +.3
AP= +.5

so a B (3.0) in an AP class would average into your gpa like an A (3.5) in a regular class

A .03 doesn’t seem worth it to me at all… Our grading scale is a 93 is the lowest A, and for CP that’s 4.0, H it’s 4.5, and AP it’s 5.0. Then you add 1/8th for each point above 93.

Yeah, regular grade scale 4.0 A, honors 4.5, AP 5.0. Each letter grade up or down is a third point more/less. Like a A+ in honors = 4.83 weighted grade
