weighted grades, yea or ney?

bulletandpima - 60% is passing being a D-.
Schools can use any grading system they want - this varies even in our county where there are 18 public school districts.

My senior applied to the University of South Carolina - they recalculate your GPA based on the core courses you take - throwing out the fluff and weight your Honors and AP classes. My daughter GPA on her transcript showed a 3.2 - relcalculated it became a 3.8.
Her transcript only shows one GPA they don’t get a seperate Weighted GPA.
