Does IU use weighted GPA for scholarship consideration?
My D actually thinks IU is too huge, and I’ve never pushed her applying, because we are OOS and will receive no financial aid… But I read somewhere that IU considers weighted GPA for merit scholarships, and if that’s the case, I may encourage her to apply and at least consider it.
Anyone know if this is true of Purdue, as well?
Well, I checked myself and it seems apps need to be in before Nov. 1 for best scholarship considerations.
They do consider weighted GPA, and you are correct about the November 1 deadline
Thanks. Kinda wish I’d looked into it sooner - but… D would not apply to our own flagship, UIUC, and after an unofficial visit to Bloomington and IU (which is my alma mater) she also said it was “pretty, but still too big”. So I’m not convinced she would have applied…
But I might have encouraged her to, knowing about the weighted GPA. Oh, well…
