Weighted v. Unweighted Class Rank

<p>Can anyone explain this? I understand this question re: GPA, but how can class rank be weighted?</p>

<p>some schools calculate class rank using weighted GPA and others use UW. The weighted calculation is the more meaningful one.</p>
