Weighted vs. Unweighted GPA in College Admits.

I took some honors-level courses over the summer. I earned As in both and am eligible to receive credit at my HS. However, this credit will be regular, not honors, credit. Unless fighting with the school works (these courses are not offered at my school, so I may have a chance), I have several options.

Take credit, improve UW GPA but decrease W GPA (from soph. year on, I will be taking all honors/AP classes, and I took all the honors classes frosh could take).

Place class/grade on transcript but not factor it into either GPA.

Include course evaluations and grade in the additional section of my apps, leaving it apart from all HS stuff.

For background, I am interested in highly competitive schools (Ivy League and other selective NE).

I honestly don't think colleges will care about the .1 of a difference that extra class is going to make. i say if you got an A, put it on.

I kind of agree with Bigb14. Since you don't really know what kind of grades you're gonna get (I'm guessing you're a sophmore), I would actually go with number one because the colleges themselves may opt to weigh it when the recalculate you GPA if truly an honors course AND your unweighted GPA will be up. Brownie points! If you're really concerned, do number two, though.
