Weird AP Test Situation

I have just finished my junior year. I took AP Calculus AB, AP Japanese, AP Biology, AP Statistics, and AP Physics C courses at school. The Physics C course covered both Mechanics and E&M.

I took AP Tests in all the subjects except for Japanese. Will this look odd? Will colleges assume I failed the AP test?

The reason why I ask is that I got very low scores on both AP Physics C tests (2s), and my grades weren't too good in that class, so would it really look that fishy if hid my scores and said I didn't take the tests even though I was in the class?

No I don’t think so - they won’t overthink it that much.

Okay. I’m worried about the 2s/bad grades in AP Physics C because I’m planning on majoring in a STEM field, though

I would try retaking next year, and don’t bother sending those scores.

Okay, thanks.

So I’ve been reading all these threads on hiding AP test scores and whatnot. I’m really confused.

If scores are self-reported, then why is it necessary to pay money to hide scores?

No one will see your official scores until you send them tothe college you are attending. Once you are enrolled, no one will care one bit what your scores are unless you ask for class credit or placement based on a specific score. Truly, no one will care at all.

You don’t even have to report the scores until after you get in

Oh okay, thanks. That’s a relief.
I’ve been seeing all these threads about AP scores and chances of getting accepted to colleges - but we don’t need to report them on the application, right? Just to the college I get into/plan to attend?

From what I understand colleges only use AP test scores for placement and to see if you get credit for your scores. It’s not used in the acceptance/rejection part TO MY KNOWLEDGE. Lol I may be wrong, I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to college as I’m an upcoming senior but I’ve learned a lot from various things
