Weird, confused, emotional state of choosing a college and need help deciding!

@citymama9 my app for fsu says I qualify for Florida residency after i submitted the weight documents and my dad just submitted all our info to uf. If it doesn’t work it doesn’t work. I just hope that if it doesn’t work, I find out before May 1st.

What I would do is go to all the websites for the FL state univs and see what the residency requirements are. Maybe I’m wrong and all you need is a parent who lives in the state. Just double check, so you don’t have surprises later on

The legal residence of a dependent child whose parents are divorced, separated, or otherwise living apart will be deemed to be this state if either parent is a legal resident of this state, regardless of which parent is entitled to claim, and does in fact claim, the minor as a dependent pursuant to federal individual income tax provisions.
