Weird curves on practice tests

I've been reviewing for the US history Sat II basically only with a Princeton Review book, and it's been fine especially since I had a good teacher for APUSH this year. One thing that seems a little strange, though, is that the curves for the two practice tests that are included in the book are pretty different. For one you can miss 20 out of 95 and still make an 800, while for the other you can miss 9 out of 95 and make an 800 (which I realize is still pretty generous).

Do you all think this is a misprint or is there really no way to reliably guess what the curve might be this Saturday? The book recommends I not skip any if I'm shooting for an 800, but if the curve on the actual test is as generous as the ones for the practice tests I don't see why I couldn't skip more... O.o

Thanks for any help!

The curve seems to be around -8 for an 800. Nowhere near 20.
