Is my school's gpa system messed up?
97-100 = A+ (4.0)
94-96 = A (3.7)
90-93 = A- (3.3)
and so on...

The reason I say this is because some of my friends from other schools and people on this board have said their schools have GPA scales of 90-100 = A (4.0), 80-89 = B (3.0)....... OR 93-100 = A (4.0)...
Either way, if someone's average was 93 at the last two schools they'd have a 4.0, but at my school they'd have a 3.3. I think this is wacked... So do colleges know this?

(oh, and btw, report cards come out in a few weeks, and hopefully my grades will be great and I won't have to worry about any of this, but just in case...)

lablondie has been overwhelmed by the random offerings of continents and has no clue what to do.

But my school:

A 4.00
A- 3.67
B+ 3.33
B 3.00
B- 2.67
C+ 2.33
C 2.00
C- 1.67
D+ 1.33
D 1.00
D- .67
F .00

Weighted classes add .5, and different teachers use different % for grades. Most teachers use 93+% for an A, some use 95+%, one uses 92+%, and one uses 100+% (but she gave extra credit). I don't really know what the % for anything less than an A is.

The problem with my school is that they don't put the number grade on the transcript, only the letter grade... so if a college wanted to convert my gpa to their scale, they wouldn't know a 94 from a 96... or a 90 from a 93...
