weird message from UC Irvine - !PLEASE HELP!

I've got a message from UC Irvine saying that i've only got 59.5 units, which are under the required 60 transferable units.
The problem is when i counted the UC transferable units myself, i have 71.5 units!!!!
Is there a chance that Irvine could have miscalculated?
i mean that's a total of 12 units less!!!!!!!!
what should i do?
mail them an unofficial transcript as a proof?

You counted 71.5--did you make sure all 71.5 are UC transferable?

Yes! I Did!

Three scenarios come to mind:

You counted NON-transferrable courses as part of your overall UC-tranferrable total units (refer to ASSIST.org to see which of your courses are transferable).

You typed in a course (or in your case a few courses) that either had a mispelled prefix (ex: HIST for history) or a class number they didn't recognize (HIST "999") on your application.

Or UCI themselves miscalculated and you are in the right. I would confirm with yourself that all your courses are transferrable and recheck your application receipt to make sure you inputted your courses correctly.

If you turn out to be right, call them and see how you can prove yourself. When you were inputting your courses and grades on the application, a "CCCT" image should of appeared next to the course if it was transferrable.

i really duno wts going on......
when i took a look at my application receipt, there are CCCT next to my classes, and those classes have a total of 71.5 units.
perhaps i should send them an email to clarify?

ouch....better clarify this

For something like this, I would call them.

wow so they are actually reviewing applications. it feels like they just left a pile of apps and never even went through them. :[

look at ur transcript, it should say which are uc transf, and should have a count.

try not to have to count things like that urself, get a counselor to do it for u.
