Weird question about SAT scores

Ok so I was already accepted to FSU but I took the SAT again in December and got my scores back and all (they increased). I never sent these scores to my high school or through college board to FSU. How exactly does FSU have my new scores? Just seems weird to me and a little bit alarming that they so readily have access to my stuff. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks

If you identified the HS you attend on the SAT info, they likely got the scores. Then they are automatically entered into the FACT.org state system if you attend public HS for Bright Futures calculations. FACTS.org has ALL you scores, grades, etc.

You said “took the SAT again”, so you’ve taken the SAT before that.

Maybe you sent your past SAT score and clicked the option “send ALL my scores” on CB to FSU. If you did, then CB automatically sends them as they are ready.

when you registered for the SAT you recently took did you list FSU as one of the universities to receive your score?

I didn’t indicate FSU to receive the scores on this recent SAT nor did I even indicate my high school when I took this SAT. Maybe it has something to do with the bright futures though I guess…

Still seems very strange to me.

I did take the SAT before but I never clicked any such thing; Im pretty sure that isnt even an option anyways.

If prior scores went to FACTS.org, than retake scores would go as well. And from there ALL public state U’s and state colleges have access to your grades and your scores electronically.

All your scores are in the FL public school system and linked to your SSN or something like that. That’s what I was told last year when UF somehow got a hold of my scores that I didn’t send. It kinda made me mad since I could’ve just never paid to send the original scores >_<

So only colleges in FL will have access to this kind of stuff and not out of state university’s?

Correct. Visit FACTS.org.

Yes all FL schools receive transcripts and SAT/ACT scores electronically from with your school or the testing agent. But I thought you had to notify the schools that you wanted the information to be sent to.
