I just got my SAT scores back and I'm surprised...for a number of reasons. It turned out that I got 660 Critical Reading (a little lower than expected), 550 Math (WAY lower than expected), and 780 Writing (much higher than I ever expected!!) I don't know what to make of this, and I feel like colleges will be scratching their heads in confusion because of the big differences between the three scores. I called a math tutor right away, and if I work hard enough, I hope to raise my score by- if I'm lucky-100 points before next October. I also hope to bump my Critical Reading score to a 700. Unfortunately, my writing score probably won't count for much.

Any idea of how colleges might view my first scores? If I raise my math score significantly, will they not look to closely at the initial 550? I also find that weird since I got a 610 on the PSAT. I guess I didn't study enough.

Thanks in advance for feedback!!
