<p>I got a 800m, 780w, and a 580cr. How will colleges look at this compared to someone who got 3 720s??? And is it normal to have a 200 point gap between writing and critical reading?</p>

<p>lol anhtimmy im chinese but im the opposite of the stereotypical asian. i got a cr 800, writing 760, but my math is 700...now tahts weird.</p>
<p>I've heard that a really big gap can be indicative of a learning disability.</p>
<p>I have a huuuuge gap (and a learning disability)....800 CR, 700 VERBAL, and 490 math. luckily i'm not planning to be an engineer!</p>
<p>A friend of mine has a big discrepancy on her ACTs. 30 in reading, 16 in math. She has some kind of spacial LD that makes math very difficult for her. The colleges she's spoken with (obviously not the top tiers, but matches and reaches for her) have told her they'd rather see the 30 in reading, especially since she's not going to major in anything related to math.</p>
<p>I think writing takes alot of the same skill as does doing well in math and has little to do with cr. The math section of the sat is really easy but it takes precision and attention to detail to avoid careless errors get a 800 and I feel like writing is the same thing. From the beginnning ive been excellent at math and writing and terrible at cr</p>
<p>Hmmm..my scores aren't great at all. I got a 550 reading and 660 writing, so I guess there's a difference. </p>
<p>But it's really weird for my ACT because I got a 30 on the reading, but a 22 on the writing....</p>
<p>I'm sure I improved on the writing (not sure about reading) on the October ACT though...hopefully.</p>

<p>Yeah, I got a 34 in Math and a 31 in Reading (my lowest subject score) my first ACT, so i was expecting maybe a 790 M and a 720 CR... but i got 800 CR and 750 M?!?! haha</p>

<p>I used to have a big gap in my reading and math. CR- 720 and M-590... 130 points. but I got a 650 on the math the next time.</p>
