So I'm a new user, though I've been visiting this site for a while :).
Like many of you, I woke up early this morning to check my may SAT scores (haha). I was very pleased with my superscore of 2260, but the breakdown is strange.

CR: 800
Writing:800
and math....660

This is the third time I have taken the SAT, and my scores are always similar to this! I have studied and taken a course and just can't get my math up to 700. Do you think this will adversely affect my college admissions? I'm just so annoyed! I'm a junior in high school, and not sure what I want to major in yet, but I'm pretty sure I'd like to follow a pre-med track (if this matters at all). Any thoughts? Or anyone with the same problem as me? Thanks everyone!

Your breakdown isn’t that unusual. You’re just stronger in language than math. I know a junior with over 750 on both CR and W and in the low 500s on math. 660 isn’t awful and your 800/800 is exceptional. I think you’re in good shape.

Good job, OP!
I have similarly unbalanced scores. Does anybody know how much colleges care about balance? Especially those that do not take writing scores into account?

I did horrible on reading too! 580 so dont worry : ] and I got into Berkeley…although I have to add that my case IS a little diff of why I got in, so don’t bank on that! PM me for more details ; ]

A 660 in math is not a bad score and you can probably major in anything you want but might find you will have to work a lot harder if you go into physics or engineering than if you major in one of the liberal arts.
