Weird seeing my daughter's face here!

Was browsing on cc last week and was really surprised to see an ad for my kids’ high school. Upon further examination, I was even more surprised to see my daughter’s face in the ad! She graduated last year, but I guess they liked the photo of her and her friends and decided to use it in their advertising. I’ve now seen it a few times now, and it’s just so weird!

I felt that way once when I saw an ad for my daughter’s former high school. I took a screenshot and saved it though!

S23’s school is K-12. I visit the website but rarely visit the middle school portion. I ended up on the middle school website a couple of months ago, and thought, hey, that kid looks vaguely familiar. It was S23 from 2 years ago, lol.

Cool! I was looking at my private dorm’s website. There was an old photo of a bunch of girls in the swimming pool. There in the middle was my mom!! She didn’t think it was her - she thought the pool wasn’t installed while she was at UT. But I checked, and it was finished in 1959. She graduated in 1960. Mom looks so much like me that when I posted the photo on Facebook and asked my friends to pick her out, they had no trouble.

D attended a summer camp when she was about 8. The next year the brochure comes to us in the mail and the front cover was her wearing some headdress they made blowing bubbles.

Framed and in the office. I thought it was a tremendous gift!

For a couple of years, there was a picture of my fifth grade class on one of those “find your classmates” websites. I should have taken a screenshot but I didn’t think of it, and now the picture isn’t there anymore.

I was certain this thread was going to go in the direction of “I didn’t give anyone permission to use my daughter’s photo, can I sue them?..”

Was snooping around FB, looked at the page of the D of an old friend I haven’t seen in ages. There was a family picture posted and I thought, wow, X now looks so much like her mother did. And, hmm, why’s that boy look familiar? Then, “Wow, and that daughter looks just like…me!” It took a second to realize, it was me. This was a pic from decades ago, when my friend’s family, plus 3 others of us, travelled in Europe together. I looked pretty good.

My DH was in a photo on the rotating main fab screen of a national organization. I had no idea! And DS#1 was in an ad for his camp many moons ago. Forgot to keep that photo.

Ack autocorrect- was supposed to say fbk (facebook)

I was really surprised when I saw my d and her friend’s picture larger than life on the side of a city bus in Austin! It was an ad for Girl Scouts and it turns out it was on several buses that summer.
