i've been reading forums and things about how adcoms interpret student's gpa's because many high schools have their own unique grading scales. the answer that i've seen come up pretty frequently is that adcoms take into consideration the fact that schools have their own grading scales, and so to bar any confusion, they take the gpa that you give them in the context of your school. i would be fine with this, but i have a unique case because i went to one high school for 9-10 and a different one 11-12. my previous high school gpa scale was an A=4, B=3, C=2, etc. the one i currently attend is A=4, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3, etc. my school has this weird policy that doesn't convert my old grades to the new school's scale, and so my gpa is understandably lower than my current classmate's, a full .3 points lower. this .3 points prevented me from joining NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, and Science Honor Society.

soooo, given all this crap, will the colleges that i apply to take into consideration my very unique and obscure situation?
