Weird weighted GPA system

Basically myschool weighs the AP and Honors classes equally:

Ex: A- in Honors Precalc = 4.2 / 4.5
A- in AP Calc AB = 4.2 / 4.5

IMO I think this is pretty unfair since a person with multiple APs can easily have a lower GPA than one with solely honors, but this is besides the point

Do any of you guys have weird GPA systems? If so Id like to hear it and if possible, hear your rants/complaints about them :D. It would be a good emotional catharsis (or catharses)?

Each school has their own way of weighing. My D’s HS would give one subgrade upgrade for AP and honor classes but still capped at 4.0. It is not fair for those straight A or A+ students as A- still get the same GPA. Also, AP Calc AB and AP Calc BC also get the same weight. There is no fair way in weighed GPA (or even uwGPA) as each course has a different difficulty level.
