leadership...

we dont have enough teachers for weird classes...

"A History of Hairstyles"? "History of Rock and Roll"? "knitting"?
I'm so jealous! The weirdest class my school offers is guitar ensemble. I took it and it was laaaaame.

We have this really weird class we HAVE to take every year when a good percentage of us will never ever use this again, plus is copmletely boring and plays a big role in deciding our future. MATH.

"Teen Star" is the sex ed class at my HS (taught from a religious perspective, but when I hear the word 'star' in this context I usually think of a medium almost entirely unrelated to education)

we also have 'child development' aka 'teenage pregnancy class'

Hawaiian Dance (aka Hula). Its not really random or weird from where I come from though (Hawaii) but to everyone else it is.

Haha, kcarls, we have "Child Development" as well. I heard a teacher remark once, "You know, Child Development is the class name, not an assignment!"

There's also Interpersonal Relationships...I don't even know what goes on in there.

we have a meat department at my school you can take a class at the meat area were you actually run the butchery and sell the meat to teachers....

^ That's weird.

at my high school, there is a series of four classes for pregnant teens .. one for each HS year, i suppose :P

there is also a day care center for the little babies to go to while the kids are at school. wow.

I love the meat one!

I guess mine's kind of boring now that I've read a bunch of the classes listed on here... Forensics is an all year course offered as a senior elective.

Well actually, Maybe "Visions of Hell, Sin, and Satan" wins out over forensics, come to think of it. However, that class was discontinued because the teacher left, so yeah, now it's forensics.

Quarter-year courses in knitting, Harry Potter, Texas Hold 'Em (for 18-year-olds only), Rock 'N Roll, the art of M. C. Escher, and a bunch of more (and quirkier) ones that I can't remember. They're called mini-courses. You can opt to take two during the 2nd half of each year, if you took a semester-long course first half and don't feel like having a study hall.

An English class about waters

Blah we have none of that cool stuff. We have Interior design and Contemporary fashion and design. That's about it. Oh, and Cultural & Physical Anthropology (when you complete one, you get to go on an archaeological dig in Colorado over the summer).

We also have a sci-fi class where all they do is talk about meeting aliens. I'm so taking it senior year, I'll be the only girl there.

we have a Basketball class
