^I do that too haha. My dog knows what my middle finger means (more or less), and the name “budd dwyer” makes him shut up.

Haha, I’m glad that I’m not the only one who does this. I don’t do it in public though (that would draw too much attention).

Other unusual actions that I undergo:

I walk around when I’m talking on the phone

I set my alarm clock five times before I go to bed

I sing while I’m driving (without the radio on)

I chew on the inside of my mouth frequently out of habit

Overall though, I don’t think that I do anything * too * unusual, aside from me randomly jumping up and down.

I love this thread.

I need to know if anyone else does this: When i was younger, whenever I saw a rectangle or square of some sort I would try to make up phrases or use song lyrics to try and make the phrase/lyrics end on the fourth point of the square. I don’t know why, and I hated it. I got myself to stop a while ago, but sometimes I just can’t help it. It’s only when I’m really bored though.

Also, I am fully confident speaking in front of an audience but my voice still shakes, making me sound scared. I don’t understand why.

Be a G.

That’s weird to people around me.

I was wondering about this same issue in my head yesterday.

Yeah, the first poster sounds kind of weird even to me… But I also have a form of OCD and do a similar thing. The effect has largely been mitigated now compared to when I was younger.

Basically, I’ll be thinking and then a negative image will pop up in my head. I might see a guy crossing the street and I feel that if I don’t open and close my hands 5 + 3 + 1 times and then make two pinching motions, then he will get hit by a car. I know it’s ridiculous, but the anxiety causes me to do it anyway.

More often, though, I’m scared that my intelligence level will drop if I don’t make these motions and make a magic elixir go through my skull to heal any damage that may have manifested itself as a result of the dark presences around me. I have to say “Goes under and dries” in my head and make a pinching motion in order to repair any damage.

Sometimes, I think an invisible person is putting cocaine up my nose in an attempt to give me brain damage, so I have to use use the magic elixir in my nostrils to destroy the cocaine and prevent me from inhaling it.

It was horrible when I was younger. Now, it’s more manageable.

Haha I personally have never done that (I’ve only slept with books or magazines I was reading under my pillow) but I know quite a number of people who admit that they do. A girl I know even slept with a calculator under her pillow before a math test and a ditionary before an English test.

-I make weird faces at myself in the mirror.
-I feel uncomfortable when I close a door and it doesn’t make a tapping sound, indicating that it has touched the door frame, so I always have to nudge it into place.
-I record myself singing on garage band sometimes.
