Please join me in welcoming new moderator Alexandre to the Michigan forum. His blood runs blue, and he's been a great contributor here. Welcome!

I was wondering when he was going to get that title. I'm actually surprised that it took so long for him to get it.

Good job, Alexandre!

congratulations, he deserves it!

Yes, he deserves it

I agree completely with all prior statements. He will be especially helpful if I get in like he believes i may!!!! haha

OMG Alexandre why are you so popular I love you!!

It's about time! Congrats.

Thank you all for the welcome and for making the Michigan forum the best! As always, I will enjoy chatting with all of you.

Congrats Alex--you finally have a real forum for all that great UM--and many other schools--information.

Alexandre=pimp (tom brady is still trash though)

Alexandre- you were very helpful in helping me decide to apply to UM, thanks for all your advice and sharing your knowledge of the school.

Alexandre- another Congrats!! You are a true blue blood!! your advise really came in handy throughout my college search...FYI- just got my admit letter today!! go blue!!

just out of curiousity- how does one get to be a moderator?

First of all, a poster has to be noticed by the moderators and those moderators usually discuss the poster's merits and whehter or not he/she would make a good moderator. Generally, they look for people who are even-handed, calm, well informed and, for the most part, impartial.

Then, a connection must be identified between the potential candidate and the forum. For example, it is pointless to have a poster who is exceedingly qualified with MIT or Engineering become the moderator of a LAC or of a Law School forum.

Do I have any chance of being moderator for UMich? JK

just out of curiosity , do moderators get paid alot?

My salary is in the 6 figures...but not a cent of that comes from CC! hehe

What do you do for a living? And why are you in Dubai? Do you drill for oil?

I am a Human Resources professional (did my graduate students in Industrial and Labor Relations). I live in Dubai because I am an Arab and wanted to live closer to my family and friends. Besides, I grew up in Abu Dhabi (my father was a banker for a French bank in the UAE), exactly 100 miles from Dubai, so I am very familiar with the area.

Alexandre GJ. Thx for all ure comments.. not juz for me but for every1

i bet u have the most posts in the umich forum. haha
