Yay! Today, I received my BIG letter containing my acceptance letter into USC. I am really happy, but there is one thing I am worried about...

I'm getting my butt kicked this semseter! >:( Assuming that all accepted students are pending until our final final transcripts, what are the lowest grades I can get (ie: straight C's) and what is the lowest gpa I can get?

I also was wondering the same about other schools. Do they all have similar policies?

haha...thanks for all the replies, although none had anything to do with my question. :( It's okay. [whisper] selfish college students [/whisper]

Too many EC's to list...
Awesome essay (I think)

PM me if you want to know specifics

Anyway.... my question:

I'm getting my butt kicked this semseter! :( Assuming that all accepted students are pending until our final final transcripts, what are the lowest grades I can get (ie: straight C's) and what is the lowest gpa I can get?

I also was wondering the same about other schools. Do they all have similar policies?

I applied to the USC school of engineering (biomedical engineering) and have not received any packet. I live within 40 miles of USC and after reading that you have already heard I am freaking out!!! I thought I was going to hear from them on june 1st. Should I be as worried as I am or do they not normally send out all the engineering descions at once?

ugh, i'm so jealous... engineering kids are notified a month or so early, right? i can't WAAIT to get a big envelope.

i'm with qqstitch - unless they sent you a notice explaining that your acceptance is provisional, you should be okay as long as you get at least a C in every class. i'd call to make sure, though.

Nope, I'm pretty sure I'm not provitional. It did have a small paragraph saying "... our decicion to admit you is based on the assumption that you will continue to perform at the same high level of achievement." So they don't say specifically that they want at least an x.xx gpa, but I'm sure they do have guidelines. I want to know what those guidelines are! I want to call to make sure, but I don't want to give a bad impression...especially if they ask for my application ID.

Just FYI, about a month ago, I received a call directly from Viterbi saying that they have "recommended" my application to adcoms. Viterbi said that there should be no reason why I wouldn't get accepted if I have been recommended by the school of engineering. (Damn my head feels awfully big right now...)

hhaha....money, I know how you feel. My prof recommendated me to WUSTL, and I now feel that I let her down because of my performance in the second semester.
