Is welcome week stocked full of activities like orientation? I want to be able to find time to get settled in and help move my upperclassmen sibling in and have dinner with my family. Although I want to attend all of the welcome week events I can, I don’t want to miss anything important. How much information did you find useful during welcome week? What did you not enjoy? ect.
@Sydneyumn - Did you look at the schedule? http://www.ofyp.umn.edu/welcome-programs/welcome-week/schedule
@jpc763 Yes I took a look but its pretty vague as to what we are doing
Your upperclass sibling probably won’t be moving in till later in the week, correct? You should definitely attend the first few days of events - as the week progresses there may be more free time. BTW, if several hours are blocked off for “small group time” you probably want to dedicate all of that to whatever activity will be planned (probably vague on the schedule because it will vary by group, etc.). Dine with your family at the residence dining hall (you won’t be the only one).
