Welcoming new students

Hey!!

It's probably not the right place to post this but I tried to search for the same topic and couldn't find anything. Let me explain.

I'm a college student from Montreal, Canada and I've just finished my first year of university. Soon we will be welcoming the new students in our program and I'm in charge of organizing activities for them. All of this includes getting them dirty with whatever we can find and getting them drunk. Don't worry, the university puts extra security officers all around campus just for that day. It is heavily supervised, nobody drives home at the end of the day.

So I was wondering if there are some websites/forums out there where I could find some ideas to start planning this great day. We call them initiations activites here and I would love to know what its call in the states.

Also it would be great if you guys could tell me some of your experiences on that matter when you first got into college.

Thanks in advance

I can't say that I really support hazing. The whole lacrosse team at Rice just got suspended for a couple years for it.

You can have initiations without it becoming hazing. One thing my house did for initiations which worked out really well was we gave all the freshman those glow necklaces. As long as they kept it on, it meant they were fine with what was going on. If they took it off, it meant they didn't want to participate anymore, and we had to leave them alone. Those running the initiations knew that they were not allowed to pressure someone to keep the neckace on. It worked really well -- most people kept the necklaces on, but a few didn't (which showed people weren't scared to take them off if necessary).

Yeah .. exactly... but can u give me some examples.. or maybe pm me.

thanks
