Well...I applied ED to Lafayette College. Will I get accepted?

Male from Arkansas
SAT (taken twice): 2030 (650R, 700M, 680W)
Unweighted GPA: 3.13
Weighted GPA: 3.22
Class Size: 600 (public school)
Class rank: top 19-23%

Honors Math courses 8th through 12th grade, 3 AP's: AP Statistics (4), AP Physics (2), and AP Computer Science (1).

My grade trend is essentially 3.40 freshman year, 2.80 sophomore year, 3.60 junior year, and 3.30 senior year.

EC's: High school baseball, special needs brother, member of three clubs (political, philosophy, and ping pong)

Rec's: Even though I got a 2 on the Physics exam, my Physics teacher is writing my rec. Although I obviously cannot know for sure, I think he will say only positive things and even spin the fact that my 2 on the exam was his fault --- it hardly was. So, point being, my rec should be strong.

I wrote my essay on how and why I became an atheist and its effects on me. I think it's well-written, but it's a strange and probably really risky topic....

......................?

i think you'll get in. my best friend got in with worser sat's and around the same gpa. Plus, you're applying ed II which will help...and ur ec's/ap test scores are very good for lafayette. If you can, chance me...I'm around the 3rd page or so, and my title is called, "my parents would beat me if you don't chance me." Good luck!

I think that you have a decent shot, especially considering that you applied ED. However, you should have remembered to be careful with the essay, and I think that they will enjoy it as long as its tasteful and not pushy. I am also considering applying to Lafayette next year, so come check out my thread ( sorry that I don't have the link... I am planning on bumping it about now)
