I JUST GOT DENIED TO UCSB! I'm SO POOPED ! ><

I look forward to joining you on the 27th of this month. Did you apply elsewhere?

stats? major?

i tagged for ucsd but for all other colleges i applied to i got accepted / waitlisted… IM SO disappointed ATM Q_Q

3.6 Econ/Accounting major.
" Admission for Fall 2012 was very competitive and we were unable to accept many qualified applicants" …■■■■

? strange, im 3.7 and got accepted, same major as you. 3.6 is good.
my fd who tagged ucsb got accepted also, but his gpa was 3.2. barely made it.

Apparently i wasn’t good enough for ucsb . Congratz on your admission ferrari4 and for your friend. Do you plan on attending?

im not planning to go there. is that your main? try to appeal?

no its not my main, but it was one of my top choices, i would really want to go to ucsb beautiful everything

^ i am so relieved to hear that you have been accepted and wait listed elsewhere. don’t feel bad. so many people on here seem to be applying to Econ, an interesting field certainly, but it must be brutally competitive. so don’t feel bad! but i feel for ya.

I was accepted with the same GPA/major, and I am somewhat surprised. I’ve seen students with 3.4’s get accepted. Maybe your English or Math are IP?

my econs are gonna be in progress by the time i submit my app, should that hinder my admission?

@ northbeach thanks for your comment. made me feel a little bettaaa
@ rd purplehaze. finished all ge, uc math/ english requirement etc. but i do have like 2 prereqs left. I thought i got into the school …
@rufflz they specifically state the requirements of how many requirements must be complete by time of transfer. Although some schools don’t require all of them to be completed but more couldn’t hurt right? Econ is pretty competitive.

sorry to hear…I’m sure you’ll get into ucsd 100percent

it is a blessing in disguise

What prereqs are you missing? Missing as in unable to complete prior to transfer, right?
