...Especially the 150-word EC one. Which I guess is ironic since my essay is about writing... So any help on this? I'm assuming this won't be stolen by anybody else, haha, since it's a fairly specific EC in a fairly specific place:

-

Until this past summer, the only people to have critically examined my writing were Internet forum dwellers and my brother. That changed quickly at the Young Emerging Writers internship at the Midwest Writing Center.

Writerliness tossed aside, Ryan and Brianthe two guys in chargeallowed us eleven interns to submit anything, as long as it could fit into a 150-page literary magazine. We had been chosen to create the magazine from scratch in a month and a half.

The Atlas was a collaborative effort. Workshopping was a new, invigorating experience. I shared my love for writing, and we helped each other get past stumbling blocks in each others styles and dictions.

Deadlines motivated me to create, and so I submitted four prose pieces. Three made it in. The subjects: memory, myth, and war. After everybodys pieces had been chosen and the magazines order decided, I volunteered as a copy editor.

At the launch party, I read Memoria to a packed crowd inside the Center. Reading my writing to an audience was another first.

[Conclusion?]

-

I'm at around 174 words, and I still feel like I could maybe say more (but I'd maybe need to trim it). I am fairly sure that this is the EC I want to focus on right now, though. It's not particularly impressive compared with most people here, but it did actually mean a lot to me. Thanks a lot for any help.
