I received a call from my Admissions Officer yesterday saying that the waiver that USMA had put in for had been officially rejected ("Academic skills defects," the euphemism for ADHD.) My file goes before the Dean of Admissions one last time tonight, and then its over for good. There's little hope. It would have been good. See you folks on down the road.

ElPadrino: So sorry to hear your bad news. Sending you a cyberhug....

Im so sorry to hear about that dude. I know how much it sucks (waiver denied a week or two ago for "History of Mood Disorder" euphemism for depression). I know how much it cuts into you to get that. If its any comforting thought, know there are others like yourself who have received this terriable knews.

If you need any advice to continue fighting it let me know.

ElPadrino,

I know it stings to hear this news and I'm not sure if you are giving up completely or will try to go through the process again next year. No matter what you decide, I wish you all the best. Good luck!

Sorry for the bad news, I really do wish you the best luck in the future. I think you should take martial arts if not haven't so, it boosted everything I had; fitness, intelligence, and self-discipline.

i don't think nunchuck skills erase medical records.

You'll forget a lot of your worries if you take a quick shot to the pills with those nunchucks, I bet.

ElPadrino, I am really sorry to hear about the waiver. You can call me a fool for believing this, but if you didn't get into WP it's probably because there is something out there that you were meant to do, and only you can achieve it. Good luck in everything, and here's a online salute for you.

Thanks everybody. It makes me feel a lot better to know there are others who have experienced this. I came close, and am heavily considering applying next year. Heck, maybe I'll go to normal college for a year and get the wildness outta me. It's going to come down to March and April when I get my acceptances/rejections; we'll see if any high caliber schools accept me. I don't know if any can come close to West Point. I don't want to give this up- nor do I think I'll be able to.

that's what happened to me at Annapolis. :( .....oh well, go army.

ElPadrino, from what I remember, your stats are amazing. I'm sure you will get into some very respectable universities.
