Well rounded schools with egineering in the Northeast

Hi folks,

We're finishing up the list and want to make sure we're not missing something. Wanted: B+ student engineering plus liberal arts school in the northeast. Great if it has business, too. So we have all the state schools, but they're kinda big. Northeastern and BU (reach) but they're city schools. He wants not city. Union, Syracuse, Lafayette. Not so interested in 3+2 programs, though we have discussed them. He has grown up with engineers and would like to be around them as part of the ambient vibe. Possibly RPI, but that's not got the liberal arts part. Uni will not be a bad choice, but we just want to make sure we're not missing something. Ideas? Comments? Would that the Ivies or Tufts were accessible but in today's market, not a chance despite a very solid H.S. record.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, you've missed Lehigh.

Tufts in Somerville is debatable on "not city". West Somerville is certainly more suburbish than East Somerville.

And Bucknell

NEU is in the city but has much more of a campus feel than BU. It still feels very much like a campus.

Penn State University sounds fit; it has a decent engineering school with a great business school (Smeal Business).
