Just one more day guys, this thread is mostly meant to be a reflection, how did this whole process go for you, what did you learn, what are some things you regret and what are some things you think you did well, what are your last words about this whole bs experience and what advice do you have for the applicants of next year? it would also be interesting to get some parents' perspectives on this.

overall, im glad i went through this process because the experience will prepare me for college. i would of studied for the ssat’s and gotten involved in the whole application process way way earlier.
future applicants: dont limit yourself to applying to a select few HADES schools, because there are many other wonderful schools available. also make sure your final application list for schools is good for you! (i realllllly wished i had applied to middlesex and cate!!)
thats really all from me (;

I went through the stress of it all last year, but even with that experience, it was just as stressful this year! I’m glad I did it though, because now I won’t always be what if-ing about it. However, if applying to college is worse than this, I think I might have a mental break down when the time comes for all that!

I want to share my experience, mainly for int’l applicant like me: study for the ssat. Don’t be an idiot like me. My parents are always sceptical about my chances, although they supported me decently by filling in my Pfs, helping with my parent statements, etc. They told me that it was not worth it. Why waste money, time, and energy for something you just can’t achieve? To tell you the truth, I was ****ed. Why not have faith? Yeah, this is my rant.
Dear future applicants, start the process early. Check your essays; don’t do a last minute job like me. This is your future. If you have questions you want to ask to the adcoms, ask. I often asked, even the smallest detail, so I luckily didn’t get confused over several matters. Never wear jeans for the interview. Read several inspiring, successful stories of great people who didn’t go to BS.
P.S: applicants, particularly from SE Asia, don’t hesitate to ask me. I’ll try my best to give you my insights and tell you my whole experience, no matter what size of envelopes I receive on March 10. :D

How did this whole process go for you? This process was a really waker-upper for me. It brought to my sight the how competitive admission towards schools such as HADES is.
I think this Prep School Admissions process has prepared me for college, and that’s great!

What do you regret about the admissions process? I regret not considering a wide range of schools to apply to. This year, I applied to Choate, Exeter, Deerfield, and The Webb School. I regret not applying to Middlesex, SPS, and Andover. I ask future applicants to look into schools more closely before you decide what is right for you. I also would have payed more attention towards the essays, as these are a crucial part of the admission process.

Word of Advice: Future applicants, do not start stressing out from the beginning! Remember that you have not control over admission decisions; that’s decided by how competitive the applicant pool is. As long as you believe you have committed your full resources towards a goal, you will succeed in some way.

Oh yeah, 1 tiny thing I regretted the most: I didnt apply to Hotchkiss and Sps, only to PEA, PA. Burgerr.

Well for me I feel like I should have started studying for the SSATS earlier, as well as have taken them earlier. I feeel I should have put more effort in everything and started the process earlier after knowing about it, because of that mistake I probably will not be considered for first round. Also, I feel as if I should have more effort into school this year as well… But you know what I say to all that? I say—Oh well. What’s done is done. There’s no going back now. And there’s no could have, would have, or should have. It’s all in the past. I also believe that everything happens for a reason so whatever happens to all of us-- there was a reason behind it and for it.

Advice: Guys, start the process early and go through it doublechecking everything. Work hard in school too, don’t let the application take its toll on you, and just remember you’re trying to see what school’s a good fit for YOU. Good Luck:)

I regret not applying to more schools and starting earlier. i was only able to see one school and had nothing to compare it to, which stinks.

if i started earlier i would have applied to more schools
