Chance me please!
3.9 weighted GPA in IB Diploma program (I got several C’s sophomore year which is bringing me down, and struggle in French after having to go from a regular french one class to IB French 3) my HL’s are Visual Arts, English, and History.
1810 SAT (low i know, but they are test optional)
I am president of 2 clubs, one is LEO club (service club, high school chapter of lions international, the other is a club raising money for breast cancer research in honor of my mother who died from breast cancer)
I am VP of National Art Honor Society,
Captain of the Varsity Lacrosse team
Varsity Public Forum debater
member of NHS and NEHS
volunteer at Make-A-Wish Foundation and Clothes to Kids
My step mom went there, so I am a legacy
my essay was pretty strong, I am a very good writer
I have an interview tomorrow, which I assume will go well, I already have gotten along well with my interviewer on the phone and usually do well at college interviews.
I know my stats are low, but I am hoping all of my EC’s, essay, and interview help me out?

Good luck with your interview.

Re: test scores, I copied this from the website:

  1. Are standardized test scores required? If so, which tests should I take? Wellesley requires that you submit the SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests or the ACT with Writing. For students who are pursuing quantitative subjects such as mathematics, biology, neuroscience, etc., we strongly encourage you to take at least one quantitative SAT Subject test. If you take the ACT: Wellesley requires the ACT with Writing Test. The TOEFL is strongly recommended for students whose native language is not English. See the SAT and ACT websites for test deadlines.

@abbymarieeee Hmm, yeah I agree with unhappy… Wellesley is not test optional. Did you take two SAT2s as well?
Similar test optional schools include Smith and Mount Holyoke. Their deadlines are tomorrow.

As others said, W is not test-optional, but all is not lost. You’re guaranteed not to get in if you don’t apply, so go for it, but you should also consider Mount Holyoke, which is test optional.
