Wellesley 2010!!!!

<p>Now that we've committed to Wellesley, let's do an official getting to know each other thread!</p>

I chose wellesley because.......the campus was beautiful and in the end I felt that wellesley would provide me with the best opportunities both during and after college! go blue!</p>

I chose Wellesley because I felt it was the perfect school for me, as for academics, location, connections, also maybe its reputation, the financial aspect, and the all-women thing a little, too.</p>

Why Wellesley? I couldn't make a decision! So I'm going where I know I'll be challenged. I am very excited for college!</p>

I chose Wellesley because... The academics are unbeatable, its highly respected both nationally and worldwide, there are amazing grad school opportunities, plenty of socialization (boys) available at countless nearby colleges, the proximity to Boston (close, without being right smack in the middle of the crazyness of the city)... I could go on, I'm sure</p>

I chose Wellesley because... it just felt like the right decision. I can read up on stats and pros and cons all I want, but just standing on campus felt right... In the end I have to trust my gut.</p>

I chose Wellesley because... after visiting seven different colleges (in 5 states) during April, I found a little something at each one that I liked. Wellesley was the final college I visited, and it put together so many of the things I had liked at the other schools. In essence, the academics are outstanding, the location pristine, and the atmosphere is unmatched. Although I have second-guessed myself this past week (in the largest part, for financial reasons), Wellesley is worth it.</p>

I chose Wellesley because... I enjoyed it when I visited, and I feel that I'll benefit from attending a small school more than I would a large one, making it the best of my options - also, very generous financial aid.</p>

I chose Wellesley because...lush with thick-trunked trees, interspersed with stone turrets, and highlighted by the pristine Lake Waban, Wellesley seems to have the close-knit academic community I crave (a la my other favorite, UChicago) along with prestige and proximity to the best college town imaginable</p>

I chose Wellesley because... I finally decided a small liberal arts school was best for me. I only applied to a bunch of other big research universities, but in the end, I fell in love with Wellesley.

Possible Major: Political Science or Psychology…Currently I’m leaning towards the former.
Possible Activities: College Government, an Acapella group, and ART! (mostly drawing and painting). Oh, and that belly dancing society looks pretty interesting, too.
I chose Wellesley because... For similar reasons everyone else has already addressed: academics, the people, Boston…that, and the place just felt right for me.</p>

Activities next year: Intercollegiate track and field, mock trial (hopefully), dance, maybe try out some new sports.
I chose Wellesley because: Its fantastic academics, beautiful campus, proximity to Boston (huzzah for internships and work-study), the alumna network, more self-competitive than schools like Cornell, supportive people and all of the other opportunities the school offers! :-)</p>

Favorite TV shows: AAhh...once again far too many, but I'm soo happy to hear that so many people are hooked on Grey's!! I love it, along with Desperate Housewives, The Office, Scrubs, 24, and PRISON BREAK.
Possible Major: No idea at all, but I love English, Art, Chemistry, and Spanish is cool too.

I chose Wellesley because: It was the best one I got into?? Just kidding...I loved it when I came to visit, and have heard NOTHING bad about it. It just felt right, and the academics are amazing- I feel like I could and would have the opportunity to become a truly successful person at Wellesley. I can't wait!!</p>

<p>I've had a secret passion for Ella Enchanted ever since that fateful afternoon in the 7th grade book fair I discovered it! Hahaha BittenF I'm glad I'm not the only one...</p>
