Last year (my junior year of high school) I received the Wellesley Book Award. Does anyone know what significance this holds?

@Relayforlifegirl I suggest you put this in the Wellesley College thread
It means that the Wellesley alum club in your area arranged with your high school to recognize an academically distinguished junior. Many, but not all, clubs participate in book awards. If you apply to Wellesley make sure to mention it (hopefully you read the book.) Other schools will not care so much.
