Wellesley chances!

Hi all, Wellesley is my #1 school, and I’m super pumped about women’s colleges in general (my experience hasn’t been super equitable or fun being a girl in school lol)

I have a 4.0 (my school doesn’t weight) but probably around a 4.5-6 weighted.
Just took SAT! But should be 1480-1540 unless I really screwed up or the curve sucks

I honestly just really love and enjoy everything I do outside of school, so I won’t feel too upset if schools don’t want me (and neither should you!) because I believe in and am passionate about what I do. I do a LOT of stuff, and it could look spread on an app, but I enjoy challenging different parts of my brain!

Anyway I did the dumb thing and got very very excited about a specific college. I know it’s often a crapshoot, but I just wanted to get a sense of my chances. Thank y’all!

Jane-- I used to teach at Wellesley and served on the Board of Admissions for a year(I now help students with their college application essays. I’d say your chances are very strong. One of the most important things schools look for is whether or not a student would be a good fit, and this is especially important with an all-women’s college. Your enthusiasm for Wellesley and your understanding of why it’s a great fit for you should serve you well.

As a parent whose daughter just got admitted by Wellesley, I say you have all the crucial elements (except one) ready and the chance shall be good. The missing piece is the essay. Start it as early as you can, and believe me, you will have to edit it again and again. This is one lesson I learned through the past application season.

Good luck!

This is very encouraging. Thank you for your input!
