Besides from being a brilliant musician and a genius in every possible instrument, Brian Jones was the founder of the Rolling Stones, god of London's Swinging sixties, who got killed in 1969 and never got the credit he deserved. He was equal to John Lennon. :)

Anyway thanks so much!! They said in the letter that the pool of applications was just particularly challenging this year, with tons of BRILLIANT student, among whom they only chose the most outstanding ones ( !!!) I sill don't understand how I got in!!
I really can't wait o meet all the college girls already there, everyone just seems really nice, and the campus (!!!)
I REALLY hope each one of you get in, I mean you guys seem just as obsessed about this college as me, I think you all deserve it
Are the other ED applicants receiving their answer on the 15th or before?
Let me know as soon as you get the answer, since I passed my egocentric moments, I can now start worrying about others (lol...)

congratulations BrianJonesIsGOD!!! It's really nice to see someone's dream comes true!
I'm fascinated by Wellesley too, but due to the Financial Aid reason I can only apply Wellesley RD....hopefully I can become Wellesley class of 2012 too.

wow, the first acceptance i've seen! SUPER CONGRATULATIONS! haha i can totally understand your urge to scream. now you can sit back and enjoy your christmas break, and tell absolutely everyone you know that you got into wellesley. again, congratulations.

Yeah, it was particularly early for me because I live oversease.
Well, to tell you the truth, my stats are rally not trustable

I'm doing the internatinal baccalaureate in a bilingual school in paris, already pretty prestigious by itself so it might already have been a hook.

My IB predicted grade were 39/45

I was doing as much community service as I could: editor of school newspaper, tutoring, horseback riding, numerous bakesales for causes.
I mean, my activities were pretty basic but again, it is a whole new consideration for france, because the admission officers know how in our school, its hard to manage to find community service to do, and also, our days are pretty long, we mostly finish as 5-ish and have loads of work so they might be asking more for you guys.

Okay my Sats now, you are all going to laugh:
CR: 600
M: 650
W:680

But again, english is not my native language.

My college essay was basically about my multi-culturalism, my mother taitian, my father bulgarian, my american nationality and my growing up in France, and it talks about how people would stare at me when i told them i was half bulgarian, being really random. It wasn't EXCEPTIONAL though.

omg. you're passing up the free or nearly-free education of france for a $50K per year school? now, don't get me wrong. i am applying to wellesley and know i would love it. i'm just amazed by your commitment and choice. i'm really curious as to why you did it.

i'm minoring in french and plan to move to france eventually, so i've done a bit of research about the school system. would you mind pm'ing me to tell me your story? i would appreciate it very much. :)
