woot Ligers! eat lots of sushi for me, I’m on the east coast, it’s wayyy to late to eat haha

Do we have a Facebook page yet?

if anyone does create a facebook group please let us all know. it would be great to see who we will all be at school with next year :)

Guys, I made a page for us! Here’s the link: [Official Wellesley Class of 2015 | Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/pages/Official-Wellesley-Class-of-2015/171139736253126)

Please join! It’d be great to meet each other!

I suggest CCers put your CC screen name in parethesis when you first comment on the Facebook page so we get to know each other after all this suspenseful time together :)

Interesting note - acceptance letter (received today in the mail) says that 124 students were accepted ED this year – per CollegeBoard, this compares to 120 accepted ED last year.

Thanks for the info, fendrock! That’s 124 out of a total of how many? Did they say? Also, did you get your financial aid package too?

Ladies, I am a current freshman, and it has been QUITE a disappointment.

^^^Latinlover, I am sorry to hear that, but since all those posting on this thread are now committed to attending Wellesley, perhaps it would be better to post about this elsewhere?

marama, we did not apply for financial aid so of course we did not receive any FA information.

The letter did not say how many applied ED, but I would guess that since a few more were accepted than last year, some number more applied – also this means that about 20% of the freshmen places for fall are now filled!

Latinlover,

I am positive that my daughter will have to go through a period of adjustment her first year, since she never finds change easy. However, I am confident that she will grow to love her life at Wellesley just as she has grown to love her high school.

I suggest that if you are feeling disgruntled or sad, you try to think about how beautiful your surroundings are, how fabulous the buildings and facilities are, how many opportunities you have available to you for internships and study abroad, in short, how lucky you are to be at such an elite institution of higher learning. Maybe you can take a horseback riding class. Why not go sailing on the lake? Go watch an on-campus musical performance. Look for a nice club to join. Do you know how many people would give their eye-teeth to trade places with you? I don’t want to insinuate you are an ingrate, but focusing on your gratitude at having been accepted to Wellesley in the first place might help you get through any rough times you are having.

I hope you feel better soon, and send you my best wishes for a lovely holiday season.

Latinlover,

Considering we’re bound into it it’s probably not best to tell us that right now.
could you tell us the problems you’ve had in a different thread?

Hi everyone! As someone who was accepted ED last year, I just wanted to say congratulations. Wellesley has exceeded all of my (already high) expectations. If you have any questions, please send me a pm :)

I just want to point out that by now, I am adjusted quite well. It takes a while to get used to a whole new environment, especially if you’re not from New England (personally, the personalities and such were strange for me at first). After a while, you’ll find your “niche.” I know for a lot of people, they enjoyed their sophomore year a lot! :D

I think it’s just the same for anyone in any college. Even though you may love it before actually attending (as many of us were), you might not enjoy it at first…but have hope! I’m getting accustomed to here by the day and it’s far better than how I was during my first month here (homesickness + loneliness + workload adjustment + etc.).

Anyway, congratulations to all of those who are accepted!
